| Flexibility
and "future-proofing" are becoming increasingly
important in the home. Soon, it is likely that televisions,
telephones, computers and other domestic appliances will all
be used together, so it makes sense to wire with this in mind.
To allow for this we propose to use "structured wiring".
This has become common practice in business systems because
it offers complete flexibility. As the home becomes increasingly
automated and communications driven it makes sense to bring
these technologies into the home.
Sockets in any given room can be allocated to a number of
different functions, (a phone line can become a computer network
terminal and vice versa) and it isn't necessary to guess at
how the system will be used because changes at a later date
simply involve unplugging a wire from one socket and replacing
it elsewhere.
Digital TV will require a data/phone line to allow all its
functions, and the provision of spare computer sockets will
cover this.
Our structured wiring approach allows integration with door
phones and security cameras. Door and security cameras can
be seen on any television around the house, the door phone
can be answered from any telephone in the house, and the door-release
activated from a single button on your phone.
Broadband Internet
Much
of Spain is now wired to allow a "broadband" connection
to the internet. This provides an "always on" connection
to the internet that can be delivered by Cable, Satellite
or simply down your telephone line. Most of these connections
provide speeds of at least 10 times that of a regular "dial
up" modem connection. At these speeds, e-mail works almost
instantly, the web becomes a useable tool for education and
entertainment, and video and audio streaming become a reality.
With the home wired in a sensible and structured manner,
the implementation of broad band becomes simplicity itself. |
